What Comes With Leasing a Tank
Leasing a propane tank is an annual fee that starts June 1st each year. If you begin the lease at a later date we prorate the amount for the months that you started leasing it until June 1st of the following year. On June 1st of the following year the full amount of the lease will be due.
When leasing a propane tank from JEC it includes:
- Tank
- Tank Regulator
- Pig Tail
- 2 Blocks (for the tank to sit on)
Anything else would be considered the customers responsibility.
Lease Tank Requirements
To qualify for leasing a propane tank you MUST HAVE 3 major appliances on propane.
A single major appliance is defined as:
- Water Heater
- Range
- Furnace
- 2 or More Space Heaters
Due to low overall usage the following DO NOT count towards the 3 major appliances:
Generator
Dryer
Fireplace
Outdoor Grills
Single Space Heater
Additional leasing information
If tank rental charges are not paid after 60 days, the tank will be locked out of service or picked up, at the discretion of JEC Propane. No refunds of any kind are given if rental charge is not paid and tank(s) are picked up. Additional fees may be applied. A credit for any propane that is recovered from the tank will be given.
Rental tanks may only be relocated by JEC Propane technicians only. If you would like to have your tank relocated, please call our office to make arrangements.
Rental tanks remain the property of JEC Propane. As such they may only be filled by JEC Propane. In the event another company fills our tank, we shall, at our option, lock-out or remove the tank. No refund will be given for the balance of the lease term.
